Evora is a museum town of Roman origins. We took a visit to the Cathedral, the Roman ruins and the university. The city centre is surrounded by the old walls but unfortunately it was full of cars.
We crossed at the border at Posto de Guarda Fiscal/Roscal de la Frontera and headed for Sevilla. Finding no accommodation in the suburbs we followed the advice from the Tourist Office and looked for a place about 30-40 kms away.
Carmona was a nice place but for half an hour we didn't find the right way to get into it because of a road construction. At last we found a hotel, put down our luggage and went for a walk. The city centre here was also surrounded by the old walls and it's full of tiny streets. The weather was really hot here so we had an excellent dinner in an open-air restaurant on the central square.
Accommodation: Pension Casa Carmelo, Carmona - a hotel with only a few rooms to stay and an antic shop downstairs
