Viana do Castelo just a short stop on the way back to the middle of Portugal. It's small town next to the Atlantic Ocean, famous about its handicrafts.
Aveiro is said to be the Venice of Portugal because of its lagoons. We didn't find it very special so moved away for another town.
Figueira da Foz is a popular summer resort on the month of the Mondego river. During our short walk we saw sandy beaches and luxurious hotels.
Leiria a striking royal castle hangs above this graceful little town. On the way to Cartaxo we drove through a heavy storm and witnessed a serious accident.
